Silver fade to Blue

I love this makeup look that I did a while ago. I used by NYX Caribbean Palette in I Dream of Antigua. I don't use this palette often, which really is a shame. But when I do use it, the look comes out so well! I did a coral lip with it, but I don't remember what lip products I used.

 It starts out silver in the inner corners, then a put a light blue beside it, then a darker blue, and then an even darker blue on the very outer corners and blended back and forth. And it came out with a nice fade effect. I love it! I've always loved blue eye shadow :)

Black Stripes White French Tip

So I did my nails and I really wanted a French Manicure but I didn't want it to be just white tips. I wanted something different, something extra, something unique. So this is the idea that popped into my head:



I am super happy with this. I think it's gorgeous!! :)
It was super easy. That black polish has a long thin brush so the stripes were not hard at all. I just placed the brush on my nails and slowly dragged it. EASY!! And super cute, right?

How I Got My Naturally Straight Hair To Have Slight Curls/Waves

In the evening, I washed my hair and put Beyond The Zone Thick Enuff Thickening Mousse in it after letting it towel dry a bit. Then I sprayed Garnier Fructis Style Wonder Waves Wave Enhancing Spray all over it. I let it air dry a tiny bit more. Then I put my hair in two buns on each side of my hair. Then more wave enhancing spray. Then I went to sleep. It was very uncomfortable. .

Ignore how my face looks absolutely terrible, okay? I had no makeup on, and I already took out my contacts. yay for nerdy glasses! =)
And the result:


In the morning I took out the buns and sprayed more wave enhancing spray. And then I sprayed all of it with Dove Damage Therapy Flexible Hold Hairspray.
And ta da that was what I did!! It kinda worked. My hair is super stubborn and doesn't curl at all! So this is probably the best I can do.

Sparkly Silver Tutorial!

 

I filmed a tutorial!! This is the look that I did! I really like the look alot, even though the tutorial didn't turn out as good as I hoped. In person, this look is crazy sparkly and super shimmery but on camera it wasn't that sparkly and shimmery. It was just silver. Even my glitter eye liner was almost empty so I could barely get any glitter out of it :(

But I still posted it. So there are the pictures, now watch the actual tutorial.. And please ignore my laptop in the background. And yes, that is a BumbleBee background :)

It is amazing. It's one of those songs that makes me want to lay outside in the dark and stare at the sky. Also, it makes me want to hop on an airplane.
I totally love the chorus "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?". When I was little, I though airplanes were shooting stars. Until a family member pointed it out that it was an airplane. So I could kinda relate to this song. Also, I could really use a wish right now.
I just hate the music video for this song. Eminem is not in it! He is my favorite rapper and I love his part more than B.o.b.'s part. Also, there are no airplanes in the video. The song is called "Airplanes" and there's no airplanes in the video?? What kind of sense does that make?!?! So I'll forget about the video and just love the song. Oh how I love the song!!

The Uninvited

I recently watched the movie The Uninvited. I rented it on DVD; when it was in theaters, alot of my friends said they didn't like it and that it sucked. So I waited for it on DVD, even though it's been out for a while. Finally I got to see it, and I have to say I disagree with my friends who didn't like it. I was surprised by how good I thought it was. I thought the concept was pretty good. But I was super impressed with the huge twist at the end. Yea, I love twists :) I really enjoyed watching this movie!! It had some pretty scary parts! I jumped a few times :)

The Haunting In Connecticut

Last friday I had a movie night. The movie we watched was The Haunting in Connecticut. We were eating pizza, talking, watching the movie, and some people were even texting *rude*. But hey, they're my friends so it's all good. So yea it was hard to focus on the movie. But when I watched it 2 days later by myself, I realized I missed a ton of stuff. But I loved the movie.
First of all, it is a haunted house ghost story. Which I love. Why? Because they are uber creepy. And this certain haunted house movie, was actually scary. Yes, that's right, a horror movie made in the 2000s actually scared me. And it wasn't cliche! The really sudden scary parts that make you jump, which I call the scares, were not cliches. The scares weren't the typical person-behind-you-in-the-mirror or the objects-fly-across-the-room. No there were some pretty original scares. Like for example, in one part the mom turned the light on and the dead person was right in front of her. Standing by her bed. Right there. I don't see that much in horror movies. Usually there's nothing there, and then the person feels safe for a little while. But nope, in this movie the dead people actually showed themselves. Not just creeping behind the curtains or in the mirror.
Secondly, this movie was sad and emotional. Not just scary. The main character had cancer and you really sympathized with him and the family. It was really sad to see his suffering in pain. The movie is moving. And who doesn't like meaningful movies?
So I really enjoyed this movie. I actually think I'll buy it on DVD.

Friday the 13th

Today was Friday the 13th. I'm not a superstitous person, but I do think that Friday the 13th is unlucky.
Well today, as I got to school, I got unbearable pains in my stomach. So I went home. And was sick to my stomach. So that was not fun. See, Friday the 13th is no joke!
Later I went to Walmart and Blockbuster. I had a movie night in the evening. It's kinda my thing. I invite a few friends and we watch a dvd and eat. Last Friday the 13th, we watched the remake of Friday the 13th. I LOVE that movie! I really want to buy it. But this time, we watched Haunting in Connecticut. (Expect a blog post about it soon). So I had a lot of fun that night. But during the day, I was suffering. So that's how Friday the 13th got me this time.

8 9 10!

So the date today is 8-9-10. August 9th, 2010. 8,9,10. How cool is that?!
I absolutely love it when the date is something cool like that. And we'll only experience it once. There will never be another August 9th, 2010. I don't know why I'm so intrigued about interesting dates. But I love it.
So happy 8-9-10 everybody!!

Sparkly Red Tips :)

After asking people on facebook for a color, I painted the tips of my nails red. I used a glitter polish by Maybelline called Red Comet (I think). On the thumb, I put a sparkly red flower sticker. This sticker only lasted one day. But it was cute while it lasted :)

Hello there

Hi Blog!! Oh how I've neglected you. I know I used to have a post everyday, but that was alot of effort and I didn't really get much from it. I feel like no one reads my blog. This makes me sad. So I haven't been blogging that much, because, I don't get alot of readers. =(
So I'll continue to blog because I enjoy it. But I won't blog as much as I used to.
If I get more followers, readers, and comments, I'll definitely start blogging all the time like I used to!

Val Kilmer was my favorite Batman

Because he is just a gorgeous Batman!! I only know of him being Batman in one movie, Batman Forever. I wish he did it more :(  I think this movie is good too. I'm not really into Batman so I don't really care which one I like the most. I really like Christian Bale too, though. But I have to say, Val Kilmer was the best Batman in my opinion. He just fits it so well. And he looks so good doing it...

I love this (natural) look!

I don't like natural, neautral makeup. It's so bleah. But I did this makeup look, and I really liked it. I mean, I liked it alot. I've done it a good amount of times since I took this picture. I don't know why I like it so much. Hmm, I guess just the overall look of it. It makes my eyes look nice, I guess. It's so simple. It's just neutral shadow, gray liner on bottom, and half of my top lashines line in black shadow. Not black liner, shadow. I think that might be the trick :)

Sparkly French white manicure

It's been sooooo long since I blogged about my nails!


So I needed something that goes with everything. I really wanted something cute and classy. So French manicure, right? well I needed some way to make it interesting and not boring! So, that resulted in silver glitter. And lot's of it.
=)
I wanted to put the glitter tips on my ring fingers, but on my right hand it broke and it's tiny so there's not much white part there. Then my middle fingers were 2nd choice but on my left hand my nail is kinda short and slanted. So index finger it it!!

Summer school work

Summer work for school should be illegal. I mean, it's the summer, you are not in school. But yet you still have to do homework as if you were. That completely defeats the purpose of summer break. It defeats the purpose of not going to school in the summer. If a teacher wants you to do some work, then she/he should give it to you during the school year!!!
