The Haunting In Connecticut

Last friday I had a movie night. The movie we watched was The Haunting in Connecticut. We were eating pizza, talking, watching the movie, and some people were even texting *rude*. But hey, they're my friends so it's all good. So yea it was hard to focus on the movie. But when I watched it 2 days later by myself, I realized I missed a ton of stuff. But I loved the movie.
First of all, it is a haunted house ghost story. Which I love. Why? Because they are uber creepy. And this certain haunted house movie, was actually scary. Yes, that's right, a horror movie made in the 2000s actually scared me. And it wasn't cliche! The really sudden scary parts that make you jump, which I call the scares, were not cliches. The scares weren't the typical person-behind-you-in-the-mirror or the objects-fly-across-the-room. No there were some pretty original scares. Like for example, in one part the mom turned the light on and the dead person was right in front of her. Standing by her bed. Right there. I don't see that much in horror movies. Usually there's nothing there, and then the person feels safe for a little while. But nope, in this movie the dead people actually showed themselves. Not just creeping behind the curtains or in the mirror.
Secondly, this movie was sad and emotional. Not just scary. The main character had cancer and you really sympathized with him and the family. It was really sad to see his suffering in pain. The movie is moving. And who doesn't like meaningful movies?
So I really enjoyed this movie. I actually think I'll buy it on DVD.

Friday the 13th

Today was Friday the 13th. I'm not a superstitous person, but I do think that Friday the 13th is unlucky.
Well today, as I got to school, I got unbearable pains in my stomach. So I went home. And was sick to my stomach. So that was not fun. See, Friday the 13th is no joke!
Later I went to Walmart and Blockbuster. I had a movie night in the evening. It's kinda my thing. I invite a few friends and we watch a dvd and eat. Last Friday the 13th, we watched the remake of Friday the 13th. I LOVE that movie! I really want to buy it. But this time, we watched Haunting in Connecticut. (Expect a blog post about it soon). So I had a lot of fun that night. But during the day, I was suffering. So that's how Friday the 13th got me this time.

8 9 10!

So the date today is 8-9-10. August 9th, 2010. 8,9,10. How cool is that?!
I absolutely love it when the date is something cool like that. And we'll only experience it once. There will never be another August 9th, 2010. I don't know why I'm so intrigued about interesting dates. But I love it.
So happy 8-9-10 everybody!!

After asking people on facebook for a color, I painted the tips of my nails red. I used a glitter polish by Maybelline called Red Comet (I think). On the thumb, I put a sparkly red flower sticker. This sticker only lasted one day. But it was cute while it lasted :)

Hi Blog!! Oh how I've neglected you. I know I used to have a post everyday, but that was alot of effort and I didn't really get much from it. I feel like no one reads my blog. This makes me sad. So I haven't been blogging that much, because, I don't get alot of readers. =(
So I'll continue to blog because I enjoy it. But I won't blog as much as I used to.

Val Kilmer was my favorite Batman

Because he is just a gorgeous Batman!! I only know of him being Batman in one movie, Batman Forever. I wish he did it more :(  I think this movie is good too. I'm not really into Batman so I don't really care which one I like the most. I really like Christian Bale too, though. But I have to say, Val Kilmer was the best Batman in my opinion. He just fits it so well. And he looks so good doing it...

I love this (natural) look!

I don't like natural, neautral makeup. It's so bleah. But I did this makeup look, and I really liked it. I mean, I liked it alot. I've done it a good amount of times since I took this picture. I don't know why I like it so much. Hmm, I guess just the overall look of it. It makes my eyes look nice, I guess. It's so simple. It's just neutral shadow, gray liner on bottom, and half of my top lashines line in black shadow. Not black liner, shadow. I think that might be the trick :)

Sparkly French white manicure

It's been sooooo long since I blogged about my nails!


So I needed something that goes with everything. I really wanted something cute and classy. So French manicure, right? well I needed some way to make it interesting and not boring! So, that resulted in silver glitter. And lot's of it.
=)
I wanted to put the glitter tips on my ring fingers, but on my right hand it broke and it's tiny so there's not much white part there. Then my middle fingers were 2nd choice but on my left hand my nail is kinda short and slanted. So index finger it it!!

Summer school work

Summer work for school should be illegal. I mean, it's the summer, you are not in school. But yet you still have to do homework as if you were. That completely defeats the purpose of summer break. It defeats the purpose of not going to school in the summer. If a teacher wants you to do some work, then she/he should give it to you during the school year!!!

To pierce or not to pierce..

I LOVE lip piercings. They're amazing. They are my second favorite body piercing. (bellybutton is my first) . I've wanted a lip piercings for quite a while now, but I always thought to myself I'd never get one because there's no way it would look good. But when my earring broke, I had this idea to glue it on my face! So I stuck it on with eyelash glue right under my lip, right where I'd get a piercing. I just wanted to see what it would look like, and this was the result. I went photo crazy and took 155 pictures of me with this fake lip piercing. So apparently I liked it alot. I can't get a piercing until I'm 18, which is this January, but I don't know if I'll get a lip piercing. But I do think it looks cool. The problem I have with it is that my lips are tiny, and a stud would probably overpower my lips. Oh, and there would be a scar when I took it out. So I don't know if I'll ever get a lip piercing. But playing around with this fake one sure was alot of fun!!

Jet lag?

I don't get jet lagged coming back to the States. I guess that's because I'm so used to having a weird sleeping schedule here. Haha, jet lag sucks. Big time. But it doesn't last long on me at all! 2 days max!! *sigh* I can't believe my trip was so short. Time flies super speed. Hey could you slow down please?? Geez..

Bozk!

So in Slovakia, I would listen to my cousin's radio while doing my makeup. There was this song that kept playing, I heard it almost every day. So finally I got around to asking my cousins if they knew it. They didn't, so they googled it. So it was a song called  "Bozk" by IMT Smile. They're a Czech band. I don't know of any other music from there, or any other Czech artist. But I do know that this song is so catchy and I like it alot. Slovak and Czech are very similar languages, so I know what's going on in the song for the most part. I get so happy when I hear this song. It's just one of those songs that cheers you up, you know? So listen to it right here . I love this song. And I'll always have good memories when I hear it now!
Oh and by the way, bozk means kiss. :* mwah!

Back....home?

So I'm back from my trip to Slovakia.
Yep. I don't know if I can say that I'm back home, because I've always called Slovakia my home. So I guess I can say I'm back in my house. I really missed my room while I was gone. I love my room. I wish I could pick it up and put it in Slovakia. That would be amazing! My dream come true...
I miss everyone and everything back home in Slovakia. I love it there. One day, I will move back to Europe. It's pretty much my life goal. :)

No internet!!

Being sick sucks :(

But the good thing about being sick is that you get to stay at home all day and sleep and do whatever you want!! Well, not whatever, because you're sick so you're kinda limited, but still, you know what I mean. Like right now what am I doing? Watching YouTube, blogging, and chatting on Facebook. I love the internet! And I can be on it all day!! =) Why? Because I'm sick.

LOUD people

I admit, I'm not a very quiet person. I talk alot. But there are times when I am quiet. There are times when I just don't have anything to say. A good time for me to be quiet is when I'm trying to go to sleep. Well everyone has different sleep schedules and sleep patterns. For example, last night around 2 am I was trying to fall asleep. The window was open. A group of people were outside on the street (my uncle's apartment is right in the center of the town) and they were apparently having a really good time. Now from what I heard, I think there was some alcohol involved, but hey I don't know that for a fact. But they sure as hell sounded drunk. Basically some guys were singing, and then they're singing turned into screaming. Straight up screaming. Like "Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!" Wtf? It's 2 am people are trying to sleep, shut the hell up. It was ridiculous. It was way way WAY loud! And annoying and disruptive. If this was in America I would've yelled something at them out of the window. But this is an apartment building, and I didn't want to annoy the neighbors, and I didn't know how to translate the very lovely words I wanted to yell at them. So I just had to listen to it. For a few good long minutes. Ah, rude loud people. They suck.

Shopping!!

I am shopping so freaking much here. Oh my god. My money is quickly disappearing. I'm buying clothes, shoes, makeup, chocolate, jewelry, it's just insane how much I'm shopping. What I love about my hometown is that you don't need a car. We walk everywhere. So I can go shopping all afternoon and go to so many stores. Which means, I spend alot of money. And I'm so happy with everything that I've boughten. All my stuff is so great. So I'm not complaining about that! I'm just complaining that I am so horrible with money. I get it, I spend it. Then I wonder where it went. So from now on, I don't want to shop as much. I'm not going to completely stop, but I just want to chill out! I think I should set a goal to not buy anything at all for the next 5 days. I wonder if I can do it. It will be hard but I really think it's something I need to do. Wish me luck! Does today count as a day? I think it should. I'm at home sick today. No leaving the apartment at all for me!

I don't fall asleep easy

My whole life it's always taken me a while to fall asleep. I've never been the type of person that lays down and falls asleep instantly. I lay in bed for at least an hour before falling asleep. That's just the minimum. On average, I'd say it takes me about 2 hours to fall asleep. And also, it doesn't matter how tired I am. This can be a very bad thing. Like when I need to sleep! During the school year, I'm so sleep deprived. My house is not quiet when it's my sleep time. My family stays up and makes a lot of noise. I can not sleep if there's the tiniest amount of noise. So I have to lay in bed and wait for them to be quiet, and then I have to wait for myself to fall asleep. I get less than 6 hours of sleep when I'm in school. In the summer I go nocturnal. Literally. I go to sleep when the sun is just rising. But now I am in Slovakia living with my uncle, aunt, and cousins. So of course my nocturnal ways can not continue. We have to go to bed around 11 -12 and I simply can not do it. I lay there for 2-3 hours. And then in the morning, they wake me up. So I'm so tired on this trip, it's insane. But no matter how tired I am, I can't fall asleep. It's just an impossibility for my body to go to sleep before 2 am.

And I'm not even British. I've never been to England. I really love their flag, and I LOVE this shirt!! I really want to go to England, and I hope that one day I will be able to go to the United Kingdom!!

Waka Waka Eh Eh!

So I am in Slovakia right now =) and the song Waka Waka is so huge here. It's insane. It's always on the radio when I turn the radio on. I went to a end-of-the-year school dance, and when Waka Waka came on, all the students were doing the dance from the video. So I know the video gets played alot too. I'm so happy that this song is so popular here. When the song came out, I was in America and I did not hear it at all. I kept hearing about it, but not hearing the actual song. I had to look it up on YouTube to listen to it. But here in Europe, I get to hear it all the time! Which is fantastic because I love this song!!!

Oh, and Shakira is freaking gorgeous in this video.

Raspberry picking

Today I picked raspberries with my two cousins. It was actually really difficult. I was really scared that bugs where going to bite me! I did manage to get a lot of them though. Well not really. I thought it was alot, but no one else did. My two cousins got way more. But that's because they put more effort into it. There were so many raspberries bushes, and when I saw a bug, I jumped and quickly got away from it. And I didn't go back to that said bush. But my cousins just ignored all the bugs. I don't know how they do it. I guess I'm just not an outdoors person. I actually hate being outdoors. I didn't eat any of the raspberries either. So many bugs walked all over them, I'm not going to eat them! That's gross!!!!

Sudoku

I hate it when it's morning

I have to wake up early.
I am in no way a morning person. I hate the morning. I hate waking up. I hate leaving my bed.
Waking up before 11 am is torture for me. It's criminal to wake me up if I don't have anywhere I need to go to.

Basically, it means I'm awesome.
No I'm just kidding, it means my name is on the Slovak calendar for today! So it's kinda like a birthday, just not that big. So I got some presents and everybody wished me a happy Namesday!

Zombieland

Wow I watched this a long long time ago. But just now I'm blogging about it. See what a procrastinator I am?? tsk tsk.

This movie was funny. I love zombie movies, but I prefer my zombie movies to be scary and gory. This movie was the opposite. Scary and gory was not what they were going for. So, it was funny. Not insanely funny to me, but funny enough. I enjoyed this movie. I really liked the cast. They were good in this movie. I loved the girl's makeup!

One thing I loved about this movie was the guy that really wanted a Twinkie. That was the only thing he wanted in life. All he wanted was one Twinkie!!! During the whole movie, he tried to find his Twinkie. He was successful at the end of the movie, when he finally got a Twinkie. I felt so happy for him. Even though I hate Twinkies. But that doesn't matter.

So overall, I think Zombieland was a good entertaining movie. It's definitely worth watching!!

I've never been to California

I have Katy Perry's song "California Girls" stuck in my head. I'm not too happy about this. I like the song as in the melody and all that musical technical stuff, but I don't like the lyrics or the meaning. I've never been to California, so I don't know any California girls, but still...
I love Katy Perry though. Even though I hated her outfit when she performed this at the MTV Movie Awards. Oh em geez that was a terrible outfit if you ask me.
I definietly think it's cool to represent your city. Or in this case, state. But she wasn't even born in California. She's not a native. But whatever, I guess she thinks Californian girls are the best. I'm sure there's lots and lots of people who disagree.

I hate it when my feet lose feeling

my feet go numb and then I try to stand up and I fall. It's not fun. It's actually quite painful.

Mall Security :(

Me, my cousin, and my mom went to the mall today. I saw the kiddie play place and they had the thing where it was like a little pool and it had a bunch of plastic balls in it. So I wanted to get it in. My mom told me go ahead. My cousin agreed to go in with me. So we took our shoes off and stepped it. We sat down and I see this man slowly walking towards us. He told us it's only for kids under 7. My mom asked if she could at least take a picture and then we'd get out. So my mom took a picture and the man walked away and we got out. Security kicked us out. :( It was a funny experience.

Sunshine!!

Is something I don't like. However, I sleep very well to it. This morning, my cousin came into the room while I was still laying in bed and she told me if I was still sleepy I could sleep some more. She also said that she couldn't sleep with all the light in the room. And that to me is surprising. I can sleep anytime during the day. I guess that's just my nocturnal instinct to go to sleep when the sun first rises and it's a little bit but not too much light. That's when I like sleeping =)

Airplane food

Airplane food is so gross. Oh my god. Yes, I'm hungry, but I eat only a little amount of it. It's just hard to eat. On my flight before my last flight, I didn't even eat the main dish. I just ate the side dish which was salad. It wasn't fresh vegetables but I ate it. Yum. (sarcasm)

My cousin has a Farmville. She likes playing it, but I don't know why. To me, it seems like a complete stupid waste of time. But people really do like it. I've never played it, and I don't want to because I'm scared of getting sucked into the Farmville obsession. I don't like planting stuff, but I don't care. I won't play Farmville. On facebook, I've had so many Farmville invites. I ignored all of them. So, no Farmville for me. Oh and also, she told me she is on level 47. Lovely. I'm glad she enjoys it =)

I should be sleeping

It's 5 46 am and what am I doing?? On the internet of course!! Ugh my sleep pattern is seriously screwed up. I have to get up tommorrow too!! I have to go to the doctor at 2 30. I better get up on time so I don't have to rush! Ugh!! And then I have to finish packing when I get home. Bleah.

PRINCE OF PERSIA

Omfg Jake Gyllenhaal is so sexy. Especially in this movie!!! Just look at him. Take a moment to admire the picture. Yea, yea I know!!
This movie was AWESOME!! I loved every minute of it! I kinda missed a few parts where the characters were talking because all I could think of was how insanely gorgeous he is, but I still kinda got what was going on. Kinda. Haha, but really, I understood the movie. I think the whole plot and storyline is so great. I mean, a dagger that can rewind time? Pretty awesome!!
I never played the video game so I have no idea how this movie relates to the game.
Also I think that the whole deal with alot of people being upset that Jake isn't Middle Eastern is so stupid. Why should that matter? He's a great actor and he played the role very well. That's what really matters. I really liked his accent too! I think he was a perfect Prince Dastan. =)
Also I think the girl, Gemma Arterton, was really good. She's so pretty! And her outfits were super cute!!
Oh and if you're waiting to see those two make out, you'll be waiting a long time. They don't kiss until the end. And they kiss for a short time. Of course, we naturally expect the two attractive characters to have a good love story, and they were very cute together and they just clicked and it was obvious they had a thing for each other, but their kiss was so short. Sorry if I just ruined that for anyone...

I really like "Eenie Meenie". It has Sean Kingston in it, and I really like Sean Kingston! So that makes the song even better!! It's about a girl who bounces around from random guy to random guy and doesn't get attached. She's kinda a playerette. And I guess they don't like playerettes so much... Oh well. I think the song is so catchy. I kept singing it over and over because it was stuck in my head!! I think it's a cute little song. Haha does that make sense?
People need to stop hating on Justin Bieber. Yea I know he looks like a little kid and I know he appeals to 12 year old girls, but it gets him the money. So I'm pretty sure it's working for him. Now I am a 17 year old mature girl, but I still think he's pretty good. I'm in no way obsessed or in love with him, don't worry! I just like his songs, okay? Don't hate.

The melody and beat are so great and catchy. And of course it makes me want to dance dance dance. And the meaning and lyrics are perfect!!
In this song, the main character, the boy, Taio Cruz, is telling the girl straight up from the beginning that he is going to break her heart. Perfection! Then after the heart is broken, there's no guilt because she was warned!!
I really like it because that's something I would do. So I guess I'm the boy in the situation? Haha you know what I mean!
I must say, heartbreakers are quite awesome. =)

Sex and the City 2!!!

Well first of all, if you are a female, you better be watching this show.
Secondly, of course you agree with me that it's a fabulous show. And movies. And franchise.
It's just fabulous and glamorous and sexy and the perfect chick flick and tv show.
I absolutely LOVE Sex and the City. I saw the sequel in theaters a while ago, and today while looking through my wallet I saw the movie ticket, and of course I have to blog about it.
The movie was pretty long, longer than 2 hours. Which is great!! The movie was so wonderful. I love anything those 4 women do. I could watch for hours and hours and hours and hours. Oh wait, I already do. How many episodes have there been?? I don't know but I've seen a great bunch. I have the first season on DVD, and everytime when it goes on tv I watch it. There was one point of time where tbs played it at 10 pm and me and my mom watched it every single day. Until they moved it to later time and then I couldn't watch it because I needed sleep for school the next day =( But now when I'm awake I watch it =)
My mom has the first movie on dvd (it was the perfect Christmas present) and I can't wait til this sequel comes out on dvd because we will definitely buy it!!

Sleeeeep

Wow my sleep schedule has been messed up. What day is it? I've been going to sleep around 7 -9 am and then waking up at 5 - 6 pm. I honestly like it this way. I LOVE BEING NOCTURNAL. But it's not been so great for me this summer.
1. I want to film YouTube videos during the day so I have natural sunlight. Because trying to figure out good lighting and rearranging every lamp in my room takes a long time and it's not fun.
2. I need to go to my school and figure out my schedule for next year.
3. I can't go wandering into the kitchen every hour or so in the middle of the night.
4. I can't do anything with friends because I don't wake up early enough for me to arrange something. Because I'm a loser, no one invites me anywhere. I have to be the one to initiate something. And I take a long time to get ready and my parents give me a hard time when I'm out of the house.
5. A bunch of paid programming goes on tv in the early am hours.
6. I can't think of another reason
So yea. I'm trying to shed my nocturnal habit. Today I left a sign on my door asking someone to make me up around lunchtime. My brother did and brought me and him some Sonic to eat. Food always wakes me up. Of course I felt so sick after eating I was literally standing in the bathroom knelt over ready to throw up. That damn stomach of mine... But anyways, I got up. And stayed up. After 4 hours of sleep. (oh and my nausea went away so I feel better now). So now I'm tired. Which is good. Because maybe I'll go to sleep soon and be able to wake up at a decent time tomorrow and get to a normal sleep schedule.

Time to peel off my bandage

It's time to peel off the bandage off of my wrist. Well it's not really a bandage, it's just gauze wrapped with tape. It's right on the side of my wrist where I had an IV yesterday. Okay I'm peeling now!! Ouchies that's some strong medical tape. Now I have some of its sticky glue on me. Oh wells. Now I have a little red mark and a purple bruise. And my wrist is freee!!!! I had an endoscopy of my stomach yesterday. It was the first time I've ever had any hospital procedure. And it was the first time I had sedatives and was put to sleep. Wow it worked fast. I watched the nurse put in the medicine into the IV, I sat there for a few seconds looking around blindly without my glasses. The other nurse said she's lowering my bed, I said I felt dizzy now. The other nurse said to bite on this bite stoppy thingy. Then I'm out. It worked so fast! I was gone!! When I woke up I rolled over to sleep but my mom kept telling me I have to get up. I felt really weird, it took a few minutes for the meds to wear off. Then I got to be pushed in a wheelchair to my mom's car!! When I got home, I slept for the rest of the day. =)

Coastal Scents: Nude and Brown

So whateverdayIdidthis, I decided to use colors that I have never used before in my Coastal Scents palette. Since I didn't know what I was going to wear yet, and I always color coordinate, I didn't know what colors to use, so I went for the neutrals. Bleah right. Well it actually looked pretty.

Brown on outer half and lid.
Black liquid liner on top lashline.
White liner on water line.

Stay Alive

This "morning" at about 1 AM, I watched Stay Alive on TV. When this movie came out, I really really really wanted to see it, but I didn't. I couldn't rent it either, because my father would only rent movies he wanted to see. So when I saw that it was going on TV, I got so excited. Of course I watched it!!
So I actually really liked it. I love the whole plot and storyline of it. A video game that kills people. If someone died in the game, they died in real life shortly after in the exact same way as they did in the game. Twisted, right?
Well I love video games. I've played a horror game once before that a guy let me borrow. I never got to finish it because I didn't have time. My experience playing a horror game was definitely interesting. I didn't think the game was scary, but then again, I didn't get too far in it. But it definitely had a creepy feel to it. I enjoyed it because when I'm watching horror movies, I'm always thinking to myself what the person should do and why they are doing what they are doing. You know, things like "no go the other way" "don't open that door" "why don't you have a weapon" stuff like that. So in the game, I controlled the character so they did exactly what I wanted them to.
Well anyway, back to movie, so I loved that it was a horror movie about a video game!! I was surprised how the movie wasn't as gory as I thought it would be. It did have a good amount of blood and gore, but not as much as I was expecting.
Also, the video game is about Elizabeth Bathory the Blood Countess. If you don't know that story, google her. It's creepy. So when I think that was really interesting that the game was about her, and it took place in her house.
However, I didn't like that the movie never explained where the video game came from. I wanted to know that.
Overall, I really like Stay Alive. It is scary and interesting. =)

"I got myself a sponsor"

OMG I love Teairra Mari's new song "Sponsor". It's soooo great.
The song is about a boyfriend, the sponsor, who buys her everything and anything she wants. lucky girl.
Even though alot of people were bashing Teairra for this song, I think it's great. It's definitely honest. I mean, come on, what girl doesn't want a guy to spend money on her?? This song does not make her look bad, in my opinion. I see nothing wrong with it, I LIKE the message of the song. Yes, I do think it's better to be independent and buying things for yourself, but everyone knows they like presents. This reminds me of a quote from Lady Marmalade, "why spend mine, when I can spend yours?" Haha, yes I know that song is about prostitutes, but still it fits the situation here. Well, no matter what the song is about, I think it's a great song. I love the beat and melody and all that musical stuff. Also, I love that words are actually pronounced in this song. I absolutely LOVE that. I also like Soulja Boy. Even though his rapper name is stupid, sorry.
