Happy New Years

2010 is almost over. Sadness!! It was a good year, I'll miss it forever! =(

Dear 2010,

We've had some good times.
We had a lot of good times actually.
Sure, there were the bad times, and there were tears, and there was lots and lots of physical pain, but that's going to happen no matter what.
Did you see that? That was some optimism there. Something I need to learn.
I spent too much time being pessimistic with you. But you know I can't help it. I'm just down alot like that.
But you made me happy sometimes. You helped my life get a bit better. Most importantly, you helped me grow alot. I still have a lot of that left to do, but don't worry, you don't have to deal with that.
You changed some of my views on life. You made me start to see things in different ways.
For all of the good times and for everything I learned, I thank you.

New Years. A holiday which I don't like.

The reason why I don't like New Years is because it depresses me. I actually cried on the past 2 New Years Eves. I hope I don't cry this time! But I might. I don't know yet. I'm too pessimistic to be happy on New Years. I don't see it as the start of a new year, I see it as the end of the current year. And that's sad. I don't want it to end. I enjoy writing -10 on all the dates. I'll miss seeing 10 on the dates. I know that 2010 will never happen again. I don't want to say goodbye to it. I know this may seem silly, but I just have a hard time saying goodbye to the years. I mean, it was a whole year, of course I got attached!!

So I wanted to do top 2010 lists...

Like my favorite songs of the year, favorite movies, favorite events....but there's just too much. I can't imagine going through all the movies I saw and all the songs that came out. Geez so much can happen in a year!

OMG. This movie. Amazing! I loved it. I know I'm a little late seeing as it came out during Thanksgiving, but oh well. This movie was incredible. I love Christina Aguilera and Cher, so them together was just a whole bunch of epic-ness! They're both absolutely fantastic artists. I'm so happy that they were in this movie together. The music was great. The dancing was also amazing. Burlesque dance is very sexy ;) And all the dancers in this movie were very very hot. The outfits were so awesome. I loved their clothes! I seriously wish I could own all of their Burlesque outfits. That would be so much fun. This movie literally makes me want to be a Burlesque dancer. I can not think of a better job that I would enjoy. This movie was one of my favorite movies of 2010, if not the most favorite. I love it and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD because I will definitely buy it!

Tomorrow is Christmas.

Yes, tomorrow! I'm Slovakian remember?? Yes our Christmas is tomorrow. We have a big dinner and open presents tomorrow night. I can't believe it's already Christmas! It does not feel like Christmas at all. The "Christmas spirit" that people on tv talk about, I don't feel it. At all. I know I'm not a Christmas person, but I doesn't feel like Christmas in any way. Even seeing a tree in my living room doesn't make me feel like it's Christmas. It's so strange. I think I'm suffering shock from it being a whole year. Last year I got this laptop. It doesn't feel like I've been using it for a year. Anyway, I didn't ask for anything this Christmas. Just like last year. I've stopped asking for presents for Christmas. Done. It's no fun if I know what everything is! And also, I've left my materialism behind as I'm growing up to be a young adult. Also, I'm not a spoiled brat. So everything that's under that tree for me is a complete surprise. I literally have no idea what's there. I'm not that excited to find out though. I'm just not excited for Christmas this year at all. Like I said, it doesn't feel like Christmas to me. And another thing, I'm not satisfied with the gifts I bought for my family. I think they're good presents, but I don't know if they will like them. So I'm kinda nervous about that. I'm more anxious to see them get their gifts from me than I am to get my gifts from them. Giving someone a great gift that they love makes me happier than getting a good gift. It's just a whole completely different feeling. Anyway, I'll stop writing now. I am going to try to have a good time tomorrow. I think the food will be fantastic, as it always is. I'm ready to eat a full meal after my mom hasn't been cooking all week because she's been baking. I've been eating sweets all week and barely anything salty. I seriously crave salty food so so bad! So I don't know what will happen tomorrow. But, oh my god, it's Christmas tomorrow!

Matte neutral eye makeup

I was going to the movies, and when I sat down to do my makeup, I realized I needed to use foundation. My skin was looking really bad. My ColorStay is almost empty, so I had to use my PhotoReady. Which I hate. So because it makes my face sparkly (that's why I hate it if you didn't know already), I decided to do my eyemakeup with matte shadows. Just so my whole face doesn't sparkle and look like a disco ball! So this is what I did!

I don't know if I like it. I know the shadow doesn't look well blended on the picture, but I spent a good amount of time blending it. oh well, I guess it turned out okay..

metallic green tips!

I finally did something pretty with my nails after doing boring red tips for about 2 weeks. I used a Pure Ice polish called First Time and the black Art Deco polish I always use for designs like these. I've done this design before but with a different color. But I just really felt like doing diagonal stripes so I did it again. I think the metallic green polish is gorgeous! Too bad it chips. Like crazy! 2 days later and it's almost all gone on a few fingers. Oh well, at least it looks pretty on the picture. Pictures last longer.

Happy birthday to my mommy!!

It's my mom's birthday today!! Yay! :)
I bought her a ring from JCPenney that she really wanted. She was happy when I gave it to her :) I was really glad she was excited about it. My family always goes out to eat on birthdays. So we went out to eat and then when we came home, me and my mom watched PS I Love You, which my brother gave her for her birthday. So it was a pretty good day!

Christmas baking

Today I wake up and go to the kitchen. My mom is baking and there's christmas cakes and cookies everywhere. Confusion hits me. After a while, realization hits me. It's almost Christmas.
It's so bizarre to see Christmas baking goods. I feel like I was just eating some Christmas cookies a few months ago. It doesn't seem like 12 months ago, no more like 6. It's so strange.

Damn I love this song. Narcissistic songs are always the best. Seriously, when you sing them you feel so good about yourself. I feel pretty when I sing this song no matter what I look like that day! Haha! Keri Hilson is very very pretty, so of course this song is perfect for her. I like that album cover too. The blonde curls, the crazy nails, the yellow tape, yes it's an awesome cover if you ask me. No Boys Allowed is her new album.The video for this song is so wonderful. Keri dresses up as an icon from each decade, starting with the 30's or maybe the 20's I'm not quite sure. The whole video is a tribute, which I think is a great idea!

Maybelline Falsies Video Review!

I did a blog post reviewing this mascara, but since I dislike it so much, I decided to make a video about it.

This song is fantastic. I've never heard of Janelle Monae before my friend posted this song on her facebook, so I can't tell you anything about this singer. But this song is just great. The lyrics are amazing. This song has so much meaning and depth. The melody is really pretty as well. The the music video is really emotional. It just has her singing into the camera, that's it. And spoiler alert, she starts crying. I was not expecting it and I just thought it was such a strong video. I absolutely love this song. It's really great music.

Dream Mousse Eyeshadow

You know, I think these are discontinued. I haven't seem them in stores in months, maybe even a year, who knows? But I bought this one in Dollar Tree last winter. I have the shade Blue Heaven. The eye shadow is a mousse so it's all soft and creamy. Applying it is really fun actually. It's not very pigmented, and it's shimmery. The pretty color in the jar is not what you get when you put it on. The color on my lids is very soft, pastel, and light. And shimmery. BUT it is a good base for blue eyeshadows. It really works. Blue eyeshadow on top of this is vibrant, bright, and really really pretty!

I even talked about this is one of my Products I Regret Buying videos. But now I've found a way to make it work! As an eyeshadow, it sucks. As an eyeshadow base, it's great!

Pictures worked this time

This is what I was trying to blog about. Yay for eye makeup! And pictures that are normal proportions! So yea. It's blue. and then gray. Then dark blue eyeliner. Then Silver underneath that. I really like how it came out. My camera did not do the makeup justice though. The blue was really bright. 

I didn't do this on purpose

So I was just trying to blog about my makeup and I had problems with the pictures uploading. Then I clicked on Medium to make the picture medium size, of course. And this is what happened. It's scary.

I finally found the special characters on my laptop

Actually I didn't find them myself. I saw it on the internet how to use them. So now that I found the thing, I have it pinned to my taskbar. Yay! I've really missed these since I got my laptop.

Tip in Life about glasses

Keep them in the same place beside your bed. On your table, nightstand, whatever furniture you have beside your bed. Because one night when you leave them in an unusual location, you might wake up and not be able to find your glasses because you can't see anything.

I hate it when food takes forever to cook

I don't cook. 2 reasons : I'm bad at it, and I'm too impatient for it.
I get so upset when my mom puts food in the oven and says it'll be done in an hour. An hour?? It has to cook THAT long?! That's crazy. Do you know how hard it is to wait an hour for food!? And because my stomach has problems, I can't eat alot. But I get hungry and I need food. Meals that take a long time to make are stupid =(  Ha, I solved that like a little kid!

Fuzzy socks!

I've been wearing fuzzy socks for a few weeks now actually. They are super soft and most importantly, they keep my feet warm! My shoes do fit a bit tighter, but that's okay. It's not too bad. It's so worth it. Now that the weather is really cold, my feet freeze super fast. With regular socks, my toes go numb. But with my fuzzy socks, my feet stay nice and warm :)

Pearl Harbor

I love the movie Pearl Harbor. With Josh Hartnett, Ben Affleck, and Kate Beckinsale. I cry so much everytime I watch it. And that's the movie, I can't imagine what it was like in real life. And people tell me that it's just a movie, but it's not just A movie. That stuff actually happened.

I actually went to Pearl Harbor a few years ago. They had a really nice memorial. I remember a sunken battleship that had the very top of it sticking out over the water. That's how shallow the water in that part was.

Attempted waves went wrong

Um....yea. It's bad. I slept with my hair in braids so it would be waves. This works, but this time I decided to try three braids so that there would be more waves. Well this is the horrid result. Next time, I'll stick with one braid.

Maybelline The Falsies

More like Maybelline The Fail-sies.
I love Maybelline, and I've always thought their mascaras were fantastic. But then I came across this one. And wow do I hate it. When I bought it, I had no expectations for it. I wasn't even planning on getting it. I only bought it because it was on sale. Seeing as it's called The Falsies, I knew it was in no way going to make me look like I'm wearing false eyelashes, I thought the name was a joke. And oh, it is.
This mascara is not dramatic enough to be called The Falsies. The only thing is does for my lashes is spread them out so I have lots of tiny thin eyelashes. It adds no lenght, no volume. What kind of fake eyelashes are those supposed to be?
This mascara also flakes like a (expletive). It's insane. My skin under my eyes will be covered in flakes in less than 2 hours. And when I wear glasses, I have to keep wiping off my lenses because they'll be covered in mascara flakes. The amount that it flakes is ridiculous.
It does have the spoon brush. It looks cool but it doesn't do anything. 
So overall this mascara does not work for me. I think it sucks.

december. WTF? seriously?

So apparently it's December 2010. How this happened, I have no idea. But calendars tell me it's the 12th month of the year of 2010. I know I have absolutely horrible time perception or perspective or whatever word. Basically, it's difficult for me to keep up with time. 5 months will pass by and it feels like 1 month to me. 3 weeks will pass by in a few days. And now it's December and I still feel like it's August. So you can see why I'm so confused by the year ending in 4 weeks. It's scary. You know, I never really liked New Years. I don't like it when the year ends. It's sad. It's over and that depresses me. Why I'm like this, I have no idea. I guess I just don't like time.

Now that you know I have a serious problem...

Here's how I fix it!
well, not really. But it's how I heal my lips :)

Blistex Medicated lip balm.
It works so well. It heals my lips in 2-4 days. Versus Carmex which took about 6 -7.
It heals cuts and tears and gives my lips moisture and makes them soft. It makes my lips be in a much better condition. It's great. I always put this on in the morning while doing my makeup, then when I get to school before I leave my car I put on my lipstick/lipgloss. If my lips are super super dry, I'll reapply the Blistex during the day, but usually once in the morning is good :)

So I have a horrible lip biting habit.
Most people don't realize it's as bad as it really is.
I mean, I bite and rip up my lips. I tear them up. I usually bite them until they bleed. Then I lick off the blood and keep ripping.
Yes, it can hurt.
But it's a habit, I can't help it.
You don't believe me?

Yes, that's what I did today.
It looks like it'd be great for Halloween, but that's my real blood. 
I had another picture of me licking the bleeding part, where I felt like the girl on the cover of the True Blood dvd, but I thought that might have been too gross to post on the internet.

Light blue tips with white stripes

I was looking through pictures on my laptop, and I realized I didn't blog about this manicure. It's from the beginning of last month...oops.
It's so cute though!

I don't remember what polish I used for the light blue part, but the thin white line was the LA Colors Art Deco nail art polish. Ahh how much I love that polish :)

"Hey Ma, I'm going to the movies"

Today my mom told me to get a boyfriend so I won't have to pay for my own movie tickets. Ha. I love the silly things my mom says.

Sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............

I have a strange sleeping schedule. Or sleep habit. I don't really know what term to use for it. Basically, my way of sleeping is not exactly normal.
When I have to go to school, basically August through May, Monday through Friday every week, I get a small amount of sleep. Usually about 6 hours. I have to wake up super early. I try to get up around 6 20 but I oversleep alot. I go to sleep usually around or past midnight. It's so difficult for me to fall asleep. I have to have silence in order to fall asleep. And my room hears everything from the rooms around me. The living room is a few steps away from my room. I can see it with my door open, it's right there. My parents like to watch tv before they go to sleep. My father also likes to play his guitar. All of the noise from the tv and my dad's irritating guitar playing keeps me up. I can not fall asleep with so much noise. Most nights I fall asleep when they go to bed. Well my mom falls asleep earlier, so I have to wait for my dad to go to sleep. During the week day, I run off of so little sleep. I fall asleep in school quite often, a skill I learned just this year. And after school, I fall asleep sometimes when I'm on the couch or on my bed. I am extremely tired all the time during the school year. It's exhausting and I feel horrible.
When I have no school, basically in the summer and any other breaks from school, I sleep alot. A ton. I get about 12 - 15 hours of sleep. I sleep for a very long time. But not so much during the night. I'm a night person, I love the nighttime. I go to sleep very late when I don't have school the next day. And then I sleep during the day. Usually on weekends during the school year, I'll go to sleep around 2, 3, or 4 am. In the summer, I go nocturnal. Literally, I'll go to sleep when the sun comes up. Around 6, 7, or 8 am. Then I sleep all day. I enjoy staying up all night. I'm not a morning person, I don't like the sun. I don't mind sleeping the day away. Of course, it can come to be a inconvenience. But when I have nothing to do that day, it doesn't bother me at all. I sleep so much when I don't have school. Some days, I spend all day in my bed. Getting up only to go to the kitchen and the bathroom. Sleeping is one of my favorite things to do. I can do it for hours. It's hard for me to fall asleep, but once I do, I'm asleep. Knocked out for hours.
So, my sleep routine is messed up. During the school year, I can't get enough sleep. During breaks, I can't stop sleeping.
I don't know what to do. I've tried to fix this, but I just can't. I always end up going back to my strange schedule. I get so proud of myself when I go to sleep early the day before school, or when I wake up before noon on the weekend. But I just can't do it everyday.So for now, I'll sleep when I can.

Black Friday?

I slept all day. My mom woke me up around 5 pm and said that we didn't go shopping.

The Quiet

I watched the movie called The Quiet a few days ago. I was bored so I went on crackle.com where you can legally watch free movies online. I found this movie and I decided to watch it. It seemed interesting. It has Camilla Bella and Elisha Cuthbert. I like both of them and I think they were really great in this movie. The movie is about a girl (played by Camilla) who is deaf who gets adopted by her godparents after her father died. Her new sister (played by Elisha) pretty much hates her. She has a tough time dealing with the situation. I don't want to give details about the plot, because a lot of shocking surprises happen. So I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it. But I was really surprised at how much I liked this movie. I think it's a really good, strong, heavy, dark movie. It's pretty intense. It's not for everyone, but I think it's a good movie.

My new glasses add instant intelligence.

I love them! I think they're super cute. They also make me feel very smart! haha :)
They are a stronger prescription, and since I wear my contacts more often, I'm used to that prescription, when I put on my new glasses, it's like "...woah".  But I'll get used to it the more I wear them.
When I was picking out glasses, I had only one requirement. They had to be black.

Coastal Scents: Light Green

I love green eyeshadow. I think it's fantastic. Today I decided to use some colors that I don't use often in my Coastal Scents palette. So I decided to use the light greens. From the palette, I use the light colors the least. So this time, I made sure I used only the light shades of green. I used 3 colors, but it's kinda hard to tell. I put it all around my eyes, with black pencil liner on my waterline. Super simple, but I think it's absolutely cute! I love how it makes my eyes look. I need to wear light greens more often :)

NO SCHOOL TOMMOROW!!

I Know Who Killed Me

Today I watched the movie I Know Who Killed Me. It was the second time I've seen this. I watched it the first time when I was in 9th grade. I was so happy to get to see it again today, because I didn't remember much, I didn't know how it ended so it was still all twisty at the end. So it kept me guessing.
So this movie has Lindsay Lohan in it. You know, I was always a big fan of hers. I hope she gets through the tough times in her life well :) I love that she has black hair in this movie. I think it looks so good on her! Well, I think she looks good in every hair color. But the black hair just fits this movie so well.
So anyway, this movie is about a girl. A girl named Aubrey who got kidnapped. Then the girl was found. But she claims that she is somebody else, someone named Dakota. Seeing as she is covered in torture wounds, looks exactly like Aubrey, and has the same birthday, the doctors and FBI say it's the same girl. But she keeps saying she is Dakota, and has a whole life story. She works as a stripper in another town, and has no idea who Aubrey is. So is this really the same girl living in a fantasy her mind came up with, or is she really Dakota? Hmm...Well I won't say how it ends. 
I love the plot of this movie, but I think it could have been better. There were some really weird parts that didn't make sense to me. But I also liked all the symbolism with the color blue. You'd notice how so many things are blue in this movie. But anyway, this movie didn't do so well. I think it's interesting, but it's not anything super amazing. I can't say I dislike it. But it's just not that great of a movie. It had potential...

Now That We're Done

You know how sometimes you hear a really good song that you like alot and then you forget about it and later on you find it again and then you get super excited and listen to the song alot all over again?
Well that happens to me ALL THE TIME. My recent rediscovery is "Now That We're Done" by Metrostation.
Now, I like Metrostation. Yes, I do. My friends used to joke me for it, but I don't care. I like their music.
This song is really catchy, like all their other songs! :) I'm happy I found it on my iPod's YouTube app as a bookmarked video. I don't use that app anymore, I just go to Safari to get on YouTube's mobile site. It's way easier and better. On the app, all you can do it watch videos. No comments, no channel pages, and you can't even expand the info box. It's lame.
But anyway, I love this song! It's sad, which I like, and it's really catchy and it makes me want to sing along. :)

I guess this is what I'd look like with short hair

I had my hair twisted in a butterfly clip and the the ends of my hair fell over the sides and it kinda made it look like I have a short hair cut. Heehee.

Yellow and Orange

I really like this color combination!! I think it's so pretty together :)  I used 3 colors in my Coastal Scents palette. White, orange, and yellow. It was very easy to do. I took these pictures after waking up from my nap, so my makeup was a bit messed it. I tried to fix it quickly and wipe away the smudges, but I didn't actually put more color on. Oh well! Still looks fine to me..

So one day, my friend Treasure had really cute nail polish on. She had orange nails, but her ring finger and pinky finger on each hand were black. And I told her "That's cute, I'm going to steal that idea". And so I did. Except I used green and I only painted my tips. I love it so much!! It's fun to look at on my hands. It's something new for me, and the colors are pretty. :)

 I don't have a webcam, I wish I did, but my mom does..and this is what I did until she yelled at me to stop. I took so many pictures :P

NYX Tropical/Yellow/Lime Green Trio

So I have the NYX eyeshadow trio which I should have taken a picture of but didn't, and it has the colors Tropical, Yellow, and Lime Green. I wanted to use this trio one day because I hardly ever use it and it's so pretty. The colors are so soft and almost creamy. I like them alot. So I wanted to use all 3 colors at once so this is what I did:

I really like the orange stripe at the bottom and how it extends like out so far. It's like winged liner, but on the bottom. Cooooooool

Coastal Scents: Light blue

I've realized that in my Coastal Scents palette, I hardly ever use the light blue colors. So one day, I decided to use only the light blue colors. I used 3 similar ones, so you can't really tell the difference between them. But I think it came out very pretty :) I've always loved light blue eyeshadow, I really should do it more often.

Yea I wish Ne Yo was singing about me. *sigh* hopeless celebrity crushes..

So I love Ne-Yo. He's amazing, talented, and gorgeous. His song "Beautiful Monster" is sooooo good!! I love listening to it. The beat and melody are so catchy and it goes flows so well. And his voice is amazingggggg. Ne-Yo is one of my favorite singers. I think this is one of his best songs :)

I hate it when my keyboard is messing up

Well not really messing up. The 9 key is being difficult. I have to press down so hard to get it to work. This is a huge inconvienence. It's November th today. 10--11. See? It's the 9th. There we go!

Missing school is great

It's completely worth having to return to school after getting out early to take 3 tests you missed :)
Yes that's what I did today. But it's okay because I was just SUPER HAPPY to miss 2 days last week. I wasn't skipping, I had a perfectly good reason, I don't need to explain myself! Hey, no I'm serious, I have a legit reason!!
Anyway, when I was driving home, some lady decided to tailgate me. So I went super sloooow through my neighborhood. And then at the stop sign, I made sure that I stayed there an adequate amount of time. I hate when people tailgate me.

30 Days of Night

A few weeks ago, I watched the movie 30 Days Of Night for the first time. I really wanted to see this in theaters. But then I didn't get the chance to. So then when it came out on DVD I didn't get the chance to rent it. And now, years later, I think it came out 2007? I don't know, anyway, I finally got to see it!
**First of all....JOSH HARTNET <3  He is a sheriff in this movie, and he looks amazing in his cop uniform. Mmm.
**It takes place in Barrow, Alaska. The northernmost town in America.  Cool!
**It's dark. I thought it was so cool how we got to see that it's so dark for so long in Alaska. But since we're not used to that, it kinda seemed like it all happened it one night. Which made the movie seem rushed. But still, all the darkness was cool.
**The bad guys are vampires. I thought this was a zombie movie!! But no, they're vampires.
Well I like this movie. I think it's not a great fantastic movie, but when you're bored, it's a good pick to watch just because. And seriously, it's Josh Hartnett in a cop uniform!! That by itself is worth watching.
