HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy Halloween everyone!
I dressed up as a Taxi Cab driver :)
It's such an adorable costume! Some people actually asked me what I was, even though my hat says TAXI in all caps, just like that. Haha
I had a great time! I absolutely LOVE this costume! It's definitely one of my favorites ever!

Last year's Costume

This year I knew that it would be hard to top last year's costume. I expected to have a hard time finding a good costume I liked.
Last year I was a....
Sexy nun.
Complete with fish nets and high heels.
Oh yes.
:)
It was an amazing costume.
My dad didn't like it because he thought it was offensive to Christians. Well, I did get a few disapproving looks from older neighbors...but everyone else loved it!
I LOVE this costume! I had a great time last Halloween.
So how does this year's costume compare???.......

Halloween nails!

I really wanted to do a Halloween inspired manicure, so this is what I came up with. It's very simple, but I like it alot. After I finished, I thought I should have made the middle finger have a black tip instead of the thumb, but I was too lazy to change it. And the orange takes a while to dry, so I didn't want to have to wait for that again.
I was going to a pumpkin, but it just looks like a random creepy face, so it works!

I'm going trick or treating!

I am 17 years old. And I am going trick or treating. Just like I do every year. Now some people might think I am too old to go trick or treating. I think they are incorrect. I'm still in high school, and I live with my parents, It's not like I'm in a steady career with my own house and bills and all that stuff. I'm young, I want to have fun. So that means, CANDY for meeee!! Even though as a teenager I get way less candy than when I was little. I dress up, I have a costume, I participate well. So I say, "trick or treat"!

Halloween is my favorite holiday

Why you ask?
1. I get to dress up in a super cute/hot costume
2. Candy from trick or treating
3. Dance partyyyy
4. It gives me something to look forward to in fall, which is a season I dislike
5. Seeing other people dressed up
How could this not be my favorite holiday?!

OMG there's no polish on my nails!

I did not wear nail polish today. This is very rare and unusual of me. For years I've been painting my nails. Leaving my nails discolored and really ugly. But I just always put polish on top of that so it didn't matter to me. Well this summer, when I was in Slovakia, I didn't have any polish to paint my nails with, but my current polish looked really bad so I took it off. That was when I realized I needed to fix my nails. They were so yellow it was disgusting. So right then and there I walked to the store to buy some nail polish, the whole way I was hiding my hands in my long sleeve shirt. This was my mom's hometown, it got pretty chilly there. In July, might I add. Anyways, I was so embarrassed and grossed out by my horrid nails. So I wore polish for the rest of the trip of course so no one would see it. Then when I came back to the states, I decided that I needed to take action.

So what I did was, I only did french manicures where I only painted the tips. For weeks, I had to use a natural nude color on the base of my nails. It was a very light color, so it needed many coats, but it didn't stain my nails. After 2 months I didn't have to use the base color, but the tips were still discolored but I could paint over them. Then each weekend when doing my nails, after I took off the polish, I just cut as much off as I could. Finally after 3 months, my nails grew and the stained parts are completely gone!
Here is my shock. OMG!
And voila! The tips could be whiter, but hey they're not yellow!

My Halloween costume came!

My Halloween costume that I ordered finally came in! I was so nervous about it that it wouldn't fit, but it fits!! I'm not going to say what it is just yet...but it's a great costume! I am in LOVE with it! I can not wait to wear it :D

Tired of bangs in your face?

If your bangs are long enough, then you might constantly be annoyed by them. You know, when they get all up in yo face and stuff. So here's a cute and simple hairstyle for your long bangs.
1. Part your bangs. Middle, left side, right side, wherever you want.
2. If you want to use hair products, get hair gel, spray, serum, or creme and smooth down your bangs with it. Don't put too much product, or your hair might get to looking a bit greasy.
3. Brush your other hair, not including your bangs, back away from your ears.
4. Grab all of your bangs on which ever side you start, and pull them to the side of your face, right to your ears.
5. Hold up your other hair and pin or clip your bangs right above or behind your ears, depending on how long your bangs are.
6. Cover the clip with your other hair by placing it over the tucked away bangs.
That's it! And hair spray if you'd like :)

So it's super simple. This is the first time I've written out directions for doing hair, so I hope it made sense!

That picture was taken last month, before I got my roots dyed and my bangs cut :/

Hilary Duff inspired tutorial

I made this video a while ago but I didn't blog about it...so here it is!

I was trying to copy Hilary Duff's makeup on the cover of the Seventeen issue from August 2007. That's a long time ago, I know, but I keep all my magazines :)
I love this makeup! I think it's so gorgeous.

Go ahead and thumbs up, leave a comment, and subscribe, okay? Thank youuuu!!

Hard Candy blue mascara review

Hey! I filmed a review on the Hard Candy Lash Call lengthening mascara in peacock.

I wasn't originally planning on doing it, but I really wanted to make a video that day, so I picked this mascara to review because I hate it. So watch the review if you want to know why I think it's so horrible!

I'm getting excited for Halloween!

I'm getting excited for my favorite holiday! It's disappointing that it's on Sunday night. Boo :(  But I'm still going trick or treating!! And one of my friends is having a party on Saturday! :D I'm so excited!! I hate the fall, so this is the one day that makes it better!! I ordered the cutest costume online and I'm so excited for it to get here. It will be my best costume so far. I'm going to have A BLAST on halloween weekend! oh em geez :)

Actual real spiral curls in my hair! This is rare.

My hair is curly! Real spiral curls. It's amazing. I'm in love.
So me and one of my best friends Ana went to a game together, so of course we had to get ready together. I went to her house and she did my hair. Now, let me just say, I freaking LOVE it when Ana does my hair. She can do amazing things with it! She can curl my hair perfectly. I can never curl my hair. It never works, my hair never holds the curl. But she can do it. I don't know if it's her skill, her products, or maybe she has some secret trick. But she can turn my stick straight hair that can't hold anything into perfect spirals. This time she put it up into a ponytail and it was absolutely gorgeous. I got so many compliments and I told everyone who did my hair that day :)

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle!!!

And now I present to you....the most amazing and effective conditioner....I've ever used:
The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. AKA amazing hair in a bottle.
I can not explain just how much I love this product right here. It's literally a MIRACLE. It works on my dry, damaged, straw-like hair. It makes my hair crazy soft. I just keep running my fingers through my hair after using this. My hair has never been this soft before. When I'm in the shower, rinsing it from my hair, my hair is soft already. When my hair is wet, it feels pretty coarse. But after this, it's incredibly soft. And it smells amazing. It has such a great fragrance. And it's less than $4 in my Walmart. Could this product be any more PERFECT?? It's my favorite hair product

I wasn't going for tiger nails, but this sure reminds me of that

So I absolutely loved having this on my nails. I think it's one of my best french manis so far! I'm trying to get more creative with them. Lately, I've been in love with my La Colors Art Deco polishes. Stripes are so much fun!
These are the polishes I used:
Unfortunately, this mani chipped like a bitch. It was completely gone in about 3-4 days. The orange did not hold at all! The very next day, huge chunks were missing. I wish I was exaggerating, but it completely chipped off. It didn't even last 5 days. When I sat down to do my next mani, I didn't even use nail polish remover to get rid of this one. There were maybe 4 nails that had some polish left, and I just picked it right off. I loved this and wish it lasted longer. Oh well at least I have this picture!

I baked cookies. And they were good.

I baked cookies! They were the ready to bake kind. So all I did was separate the square pieces of dough, placed them on a cookie sheet, and put them in the oven. It was easy. I'm not big on cookies, I really hate how unhealthy junk food is. But I really had a craving for chocolate chip cookies, so my mom bought me the cookie dough for them :)
This is my cookie!

See it's real! I'm eating it

"Only Girl In The World"

So I watched Rihanna's new video for "Only Girl In The World". And woah was I surprised. Rihanna looks happy in this video. What? Rihanna, happy? Yes. She's cheerful in this video. Not her usual I'm-so-hard-and-tough-and-a-super-dangerous-bad-chick thing. In this video, there were no guns, no fire, no chains. Instead, there were balloons, flowers, and fireworks. It's a love song, so maybe that's what inspired her to have such a joyful video. But it was nice to her smiling and singing and dancing. The red hair, well that wasn't so nice to look at. At least it's longer, so I'm hoping she's growing it out again. I always loved her long hair way more than her short hair.
The video takes place out in the rocky wilderness. There were even blue skies for a while. The cuts and skips did get on my nerves after a while, but it some places it looks cool. The song is very catchy. Stuck in my head after hearing it once. It's such a girly song. "I want you to make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world, like I'm the only one that you'll ever love" Makes sense, right? What woman doesn't want that from her man? I love this song and I'm so happy to see a happy video from Rihanna. She just looks so much better when she's happy, you know? So if you are prepared to be shocked, watch the video here

Rockstar Day makeup

So another Homecoming day was theme day, our theme being music, the seniors had rock. So we got to dress up like rockstars. Super fun! So my makeup had to be super awesome. So this is what I decided to do. I think it turned out great! I put on black shadow on my lids, pink in the crease and then blended it all together. It ended up turned into a silver-black and a purple-pink. But it was fantastic! I also had black liner on my lower lashes. And of course, I drew on stars with liquid eyeliner. It was amazing, I loved having those stars on my face! Kat von D is amazing. I know she's not a rockstar, but she definitely has the look!  I also had light pink lipstick on. It was so much fun looking like a rockstar. I should definitely do more fun makeup like this. Or just randomly draw stars on my face :)

Blue Crayola!

Wooo it's Homecoming Week!!!! :)
So everyday we have a theme to dress up as. One of them was crayola day, so we wore one color head to toe. I picked blue. Why blue? No it's not my favorite color, I actually don't even have a favorite color. I picked blue because I want blue hair. So this gave me a reason to wear a blue wig. Smart, right?

Loreal True Match Foundation Review!

Thanks to a friend, I was able to try the Loreal True Match foundation. It's a foundation I've been interested it, but never actually bought. So my friend let me borrow it for a day, and I was super happy to test it out. So here is my review on it.
First, the things that I like.
  • The bottle is cute. It's very little, it was hard to believe it has the same amount of product as my other foundation. But it's still cute though.
  • The consistency is wonderful. It was very easy to apply. I put it on with my fingers, and I just blended it into my skin. I used way too much, but it still felt very light, especially for the excessive amount that I put on. It's so smooth, and blends so easily.
  • This is the lightest shade. And it was too light for my skin. See I'm extremely pale, so the lightest shades are always still too dark for me. But not this foundation, it was too light. That has never happened to me before! It was shocking.
Alright, now things I don't like.
  • The coverage was great for the redness on my face and the dark circles under my eyes, but not on my acne. It was difficult to cover up the zits I had on my face, I had to put on a ton of layers to cover them.
  • The lasting power wasn't good. During the day, I had to keep reapplying foundation to my zits because it would fade and they would show through again. The foundation didn't come off of my skin though, it just faded away. My previous foundation would transfer onto my jacket when I put my head down on my desk, but not this one. So I don't know where the foundation went, but it faded and did not last long.
  • It has shimmers in it. In the bottle, it's more sparkly than actually on my face. But still, even though it's not that sparkly, I hate shimmer on my face.
So that's what I think about this foundation. Overall, I thought it wasn't that great. The cons outweigh the pros. So my verdict: I will not buy this foundation.

This is a SCARY picture haha. I was still half asleep okay? Excuse the robe and the depressed facial expression, this was around 6 30 am. The shade is too light for me, see the difference on my neck?

Black Hawk Down

Usually I'm not one to like war movies. But a few of them I really like. This one is one of my favorites. Maybe the fact that one of my favorite actors is the main character is what makes me like it so much. I mean, Josh Hartnett is the reason why I decided to watch it. And the fact is that he's unbelievably attractive and there's alot of cute soldiers in this movie definitely makes me like it even more (Josh Hartnett and Orlando Bloom, what's not to like?). It's a sad movie, because of course people die in war movies. From the title you can obviously expect to see black hawks go down. I don't remember how many, but it was sad to watch the helicopters crash. There was one scene that made me tear up. I'll spoil it for you. A soldier was injured on his leg, and the medic was trying to help him and his friends were around him trying to support him. He was screaming and crying until he passed out. While he was out the medic said that he couldn't save him. When he woke up, all the guys told him everything was going to be okay and they smiled and cheered him up. But of course, moments later, he died. They all knew he wasn't going to make it, but they just couldn't tell him. That was the saddest scene in my opinion. It's a great movie. Of course, action and shooting and fighting is expected in a war movie, and this movie delivers. It's so sad but yet so great. As you can see from the cover, it won 2 Academy Awards. So if you don't believe me how good it is, maybe those awards will convince you.

10-10-10

Today is October 10, 2010. It's 10-10-10 today. How cool is that? I know I get too excited about interesting dates like this, but seriously, it's really awesome!! It's not everyday that this happens, you know! It's 8 pm right now and I just realized it. I'm a little late. I looked at my Jimi clock and saw that it said it was 10/10. Then it hit me, that it's not only October 10, it's October 10, 2010!! So the date is 10/10/10. If I was in school, I'd so happily write those three 10's on every paper that I wrote on. Not that I wanted to be in school today. I had a really good day today. It was a good 10/10/10. This date will not happen again in my lifetime. And the same triple number date will only happen two more times in my lifetime. I remember the very first one, 01/01/01. I was so amazed. And now we're on the number 10. This date of ten ten ten makes me super happy :)

Katy Perry likes daisy dukes and skin tight jeans

The teenage years. *sigh* I don't even know what to say about it. But I can say that most teenagers have a dream. And some are really really huge. And some are really really naughty. Like Katy Perry's. According to this song, her teenage dream was to fall in love with a guy, runaway to California, get drunk, dance, party, and have a *cough* fun night with this guy. Fun night, get it? heehee. Now I don't know if this was really her dream when she was a teenager. I'm not putting words into her mouth. That's just my interpretation of this song. And I do love this song. I can't relate. Not at all. My dreams consist of things like being a mega famous movie star, magically growing 5 inches and being a Victoria's Secret model, moving to a house on the beach....you know, stuff like that. I'm just ridiculously un-romantic, but that's just me. Seriously I don't understand how girls my age can be all like, "omg I love you boyfriend you're so perfect I don't want to be a second with out you because my heart aches for you and I can just cry you up a river with all of my feelings when you're not holding my hand blah blah blah." They're teenagers, it's like, what do they know? I don't think love is simple. And I definitely don't think going out with the cute guy on the soccer team for 2 weeks and texting each other all day in class is love. So therefore, I don't agree with this song's idea, or theme. But it makes a good song! I love this song. And it's just a fun song. I like the part that says "Don't ever look back" That right there can be applied to many things. Not just young love.

Winged liner with some BLUE color!

Everybody loves winged eyeliner. That's a usually true fact statement. And it should always be a true fact. So we have the classic black thick winged liner. To make it a bit more interesting and fun, just add color! I added the color blue. Why blue? I felt like it. I put it in a slant above the end part. So I connected it from the tip of the wing, slanted it down to meet the middle. I had a picture that perfectly showed this, but for some reason the Windows picture program whose name I never bothered to remember wouldn't let me save the cropped close up. Why? I have no idea. So this picture is 2nd best. As you can see, it's a winged eyeliner with some pretty blue on top of it. Like?

Wingled Eyeliner

Ta da! I present to you: the one and only classic winged eyeliner! Look at that beauty!
Okay maybe I got a little carried away. But seriously, this look never fails! Wait, I take that back. It can fail. If you screw it up. So please don't okay? I see too many girls walking around my high school with their eyeliner stretched out past their eyebrows. To them I ask, WHY?
But for those of us that know what we're doing while we're holding makeup up to our face, the winged liner never fails.
On my photo here, you can see that I didn't wing out my liner too far. It doesn't go past my eyebrows! :)  It has a curve and a tiny flick at the end. I've done it more winged before, but this is how I did it today. And I really like it alot. The term "winged eyeliner" doesn't have to mean really-crappy-liner-way-too-far-past-eyebrows-looking-a-mess.

Bath & Body Works Candles

I love Bath&BodyWorks. That store is simply awesome. I love all of their scents, their lotions and shower gels and lipgloss and....candles?
Yes, they sell candles. Now I always thought that the whole selling candles thing was so out of place. I mean, it's a beauty store. It's a bath products store. So how does selling candles makes sense? Selling candles among soap?
So I always skipped on the candle section. But one day, my mom started buying their candles. They sell for $20, which is alot for one candle. Even though it's super huge. And amazing smelling. So she always bought them on a 50% off sale. So she got two for $20. Now, we have about 3 of these candles in our house. And let me tell you, oh they are quite lovely. They smell amazazing! well, duh, it's Bath&BodyWorks, they have THE best fragrances! And the scent fills up the space but isn't too overpowering. It's just a nice pleasant, right-amount of a wonderful fragrance. My favorite one is the Island Nectar. It smells soooooo goooood! And the candles are pretty big. They last quite a long time. I have no idea how many times you can light one until it's completely gone.
I've never really been one to like candles before this. I mean, after all, I do have a small fear of fire. So I would never light candles. But one day I lit one of these, and even though I burned my finger nail, I managed to light it up and it was so pleasant after I did. It was so calming and relaxing....oh how I love these candles. I would love to have a candle lit in my room, but it would make me so paranoid. I'm not a fire person. But these candles are slowly making me a candle person. :)

My eye is two different colors

Are you seeing this? For years, I always thought my eyes were jade green. Then one day when I looked in the mirror in sunlight, I noticed a part of one of my eyes is gray. I have large pupils, so I don't see my whole iris most of the time. It's rare for me to see all of it when my pupil is tiny. So I went through some pictures to find out what color my eyes are. In this picture, half of my iris looks green and the other half gray. Or is it one half gray and one half yellowish? It's split right down the middle! I always knew my eye color was really weird... Maybe this picture just came out strange?

Exams! Already?

This week is exam week at my high school. I am a senior. So these are our 9 week exams, meaning that one fourth of my senior year is over. I only have 27 weeks of high school left. That's insane. I can't believe it's been this long already. I think I really need to start appreciating and enjoying high school before it's over. Appreciate how easy it is. And it's hard for me to find something to enjoy about it. I guess all my friends and the people that I know. I need to enjoy being around them because after graduation, we might never see each other again. Ah, high school.

You're the ILLEST

"Find me in the dark, I'll be in the stars
Find me in your heart, I'm in need of your love"

"Your Love" - Nicki Minaj
I never thought I'd like anything by Nicki Minaj. I am not a fan. But when I heard the song "Your Love" I thought it was so sweet and catchy, and I loved it. Then I found out that it was Nicki's song and I was so surprised. Because I think this song is really good! I've been so in love with it since. I love the melody and the beat and the vocals. It's just such a catchy flowy song. When I saw the video, I fell more into love with it. The video is inspired by an Asian culture. I want to say Japanese, but it might be Chinese, so I'll just stick with Asian so that way I'm correct. In the video, Nicki dresses up as a geisha and a samurai. She looks so pretty! She has different wigs on too, and her makeup is flawless. The video uses lots of fabric and it looks stunning when it flowing all around her. In the video, Nicki likes her karate instructor, but she's not the only one. All the other girls like him too, especially this one other girl who I do not like at all. So the chick gets jealous and challenges Nicki to a fight. Nicki loses, and dies. What I love about the scene where she dies is that the blood was represented by a red piece of fabric. And I just love that use of cloth in this whole video! And that girl that killed Nicki is ugly and doesn't have a chance with the guy anyway!! Sorry, just had to say that...
I give this video 5 stars!

It's OCTOBER!!

Yes, It's October. This makes me super happy and kinda sad. Because Halloween is my favorite holiday!! I am so excited for it :)   But the part that makes me a little sad is that this is the month when it gets cold where I live. If you know anything about me, you know that I despise the cold weather. It is my arch enemy. I literally loathe being cold. I just hate how it feels. I feel it on my skin and in my bones and it's just everywhere and I can't escape it! Even in my room I have to freeze because of our damn heating/air conditioning system. And also, I hate wearing a lot of clothes. That might sound strange, but my style consists of things like halter tops, booty shorts, mini skirts, tube tops, etc. Basically I like to show some skin. In winter I can't do that. I hate how it feels to have so much clothes on; all the layers and layers of fabric surrounding me. My main goal in life is to move somewhere with my ideal temperatures. Anyway, enough ranting. I'm ridiculously excited for Halloween!! I'm currently in the process of getting a costume :D  There's an insane amount of possibilities, I just don't know what to choose! It's a hard hard decision.
